Disney Hocus Pocus – How To Play

In this video we’re going to learn how to play Disney Hocus Pocus. If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to post them in the Youtube comments below.

CORRECTION: When explaining how to stun Winifred, the video says you need all the cards to be the same color, and 1 of each ingredient. However, the text on the tile says the opposite: Winifred is stunned if you have 1 of each color, and all cards are the same ingredient. The text on the tile is correct – I had a pre-production copy that said it the way I explained in its rule book. Sorry for any confusion! Let’s call this the Rodney Recipe Variant 🙂

  • Hi Rodney! It looks like there's a small error in the explanation of stunning the witches. Specifically, at about 6:10, you say that if all cards are the same color, and you have 1 of each ingredient, then you stun Winifred. However, the text on the tile says the opposite: Winifred is stunned if you have 1 of each color, and all cards are the same ingredient.

  • Rodney, I love your videos. Your clear, entertaining, yet thorough explanation of rules is a masterclass in teaching board games. Your videos have convinced me to buy multiple games, including: Quacks of Quedlinburg, Potion Explosion, Cartographers, and Watergate. Even if I don't think I want to buy the game you're explaining, I'll still watch it just because it's so well done. Keep up the amazing work.

  • Just wanted to say thank you for making this video public. Saw it in my notifications, went to click, and no dice. I'm assuming the video was accidentally set to private on upload? Either way, I waited patiently and made it through my morning cup of coffee. Now to watch it!
